My client wanted an off-grid home on their farm for weekend getaways, but found they wanted to spend most of their time here. While it's small in square footage, the tall, sloped ceilings make it much more comfortable. It was necessary to use state-of-the-art systems to allow the home to be fully solar-powered, but the weathered antique finishes make it feel timeless. To avoid detracting from its charm, the solar panels were installed on the far side of the barn.
