It's amazing how a well- designed renovation can transform your house!

This home clearly was a showplace when it was built in the 70’s. Twenty-five years later, it was in dire need of updating, and adapting to the new owner’s lifestyle.
We removed a bearing wall between the Kitchen and Breakfast Room, opening up both rooms. We added an elevator and a Half Bath on the Main Level, reworked two Master Bedroom suites (on the Main and Upper levels), and updated the finishes throughout. The beautiful fireplaces and woodwork were left, except in areas where we knew we could do better - like the newell post at the bottom of the stair.
Norton Construction performed the renovation, and Sandra Wise was the Interior Designer. The Project won the Gold Award for Renovations in the 2002 Birmingham Parade of Homes.
